Matthew Rorai is the Owner and Founder of ELM Construction & Restoration, where he leads the company with a focus on quality craftsmanship, operational excellence, and client trust. With a hands-on background in construction and restoration, Matthew has built ELM on the belief that successful projects start with clear communication, thoughtful planning, and doing things the right way—every time.

As owner, Matthew is responsible for setting the company’s vision, overseeing operations, and ensuring every project aligns with ELM’s high standards. He is deeply involved in building systems and processes that allow projects to run smoothly, crews to stay accountable, and clients to feel informed and confident from start to finish.

Matthew brings a practical, solutions-driven mindset to the restoration and construction industry. He understands the stress that property damage and major renovations can create, and he is committed to making the process as clear, organized, and efficient as possible for homeowners. His leadership emphasizes transparency, responsiveness, and long-term value—not shortcuts.

When he’s not working on the business, Matthew is focused on continuous improvement—refining workflows, adopting better tools, and strengthening the team at ELM. Evan serves as Project Manager at ELM Construction & Restoration, overseeing every phase of a project from initial planning through final completion. He is responsible for defining scope, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating teams and resources, mitigating risk, and ensuring each project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

With 15 years of construction experience, including 5 years in the restoration industry, Evan has successfully managed hundreds of projects at nearly every scale—from million-dollar insurance claims to small residential repairs. Regardless of size, he approaches every project with the same level of care, attention to detail, and accountability, holding himself and his team to the highest standards.

Beyond his technical expertise, Evan brings a strong commitment to customer service and a constant drive to improve. He is always learning—adopting new tools, techniques, and systems to work more efficiently and deliver better outcomes for clients.

Outside of work, Evan enjoys spending time with his wife and being outdoors. Whether backpacking, hiking, camping, or enjoying a day on the lake, he’s most at home in nature when he’s not on a job site.

Paiton Johnson is a versatile member of the ELM Construction & Restoration team, known for his wide-ranging skill set and adaptability on the job. A true jack-of-all-trades, Paiton has experience across many areas of construction and has traveled extensively for large-scale hotel renovation projects, giving him a strong understanding of fast-paced schedules, teamwork, and quality control.

Paiton brings a practical, solutions-focused mindset to every project and is always willing to step in wherever needed to keep work moving forward. His diverse background allows him to tackle challenges efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.

Outside of work, Paiton recently became a father—a life change that has further strengthened his commitment to reliability, quality, and building things the right way. He takes pride in contributing to projects that create safe, lasting spaces for families and communities.

Huver Ballesteros is a Carpenter and Framer at ELM Construction & Restoration with a true passion for building. He takes pride in the hands-on work of turning plans into solid, well-built structures and is known for his attention to detail and strong work ethic on the job site.

Huver enjoys the process of framing and carpentry, focusing on doing things right from the ground up. His love for building shows in the quality of his work and his commitment to creating structures that are strong, precise, and built to last.
